At JSON Support ("we", "our", or "us"), we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use our JSON to Excel conversion service at jsonsupport.com.

Our Privacy Commitment

We do not collect, store, or retain any of your uploaded files or converted data. Your privacy and data security are our top priorities.

Information We Collect

Data You Provide

• Preview, Google Sheets copy, and CSV: When you paste or drop JSON, the table preview, Copy for Google Sheets, and Download CSV are all built in your browser. That data is not sent to us.
• Download Excel: The .xlsx file is built in your browser, like the preview, the Google Sheets copy, and the CSV. Data you convert on the website is never sent to our servers.
• Conversion Requests: We process conversion requests through AWS Lambda functions that execute and terminate immediately, leaving no data behind.
• Developer API account: If you create an API key, we store your email address, your API key's ID, your plan, and the date you signed up. For Pro plans we also store your Stripe customer ID. We use these to run your account, send sign-in links, and handle billing.
• Webhooks: If you create an inbound webhook, we store its settings and your email address. Files converted through a webhook are emailed to you through our email provider, Brevo.

Automatically Collected Information

• Analytics and advertising, only with your consent: If you click Accept in our cookie banner, we load Google Analytics, Google Ads conversion measurement, and Google AdSense. They record page views and actions such as converting a file or creating an API key, and they set cookies. The content of your JSON is never included. If you decline, or don't choose, none of these load. See Cookies and Your Choices.
• Technical Information: Standard web server logs may include IP addresses, browser type, and access times for security and troubleshooting purposes.

How We Use Your Information

The limited information we collect is used solely to:

• Process your JSON to Excel conversions in real-time
• Maintain and improve our service performance
• Troubleshoot technical issues
• Analyze usage patterns to enhance user experience
• Ensure security and prevent abuse

Data Processing and Storage

• Real-Time Processing: Your files are processed in AWS Lambda functions that execute for seconds and then terminate
• No Permanent Storage: We do not save, archive, or back up any user-uploaded content
• In-Memory Only: Data exists only in temporary memory during conversion and is immediately discarded
• Encrypted Transit: All data transmitted between your browser and our servers uses HTTPS encryption

Cookies and Your Choices

• Your cookie choice: We remember whether you accepted or declined in your browser's local storage. This is necessary for the banner to work and is not used for tracking.
• Google cookies, only after you accept: Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*), Google Ads (_gcl_*), and Google AdSense (__gads, __gpi) set cookies only if you click Accept.
• Changing your mind: Use Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. If you decline after accepting, we delete those Google cookies on this site and stop loading Google's scripts.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate JSON Support:

• Amazon Web Services (AWS): Our backend runs on AWS Lambda. AWS may process data according to their privacy policy.
• Vercel: Our website is hosted on Vercel's global CDN, which keeps standard server logs.
• Google: Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Google AdSense, only if you accept cookies (see above).
• Stripe: Processes Pro plan payments. We never see or store your card details.
• Brevo: Sends our emails, such as sign-in links and webhook conversion results.

Your Rights

We don't store the JSON you convert. If you have a Developer API account, you can ask us to access, correct, or delete your account data (email address, API key, plan) by contacting us. You also have the right to:

• Use our service without creating an account
• Accept or decline analytics and advertising cookies at any time, using Cookie settings at the bottom of any page
• Request information about our data practices
• Report privacy concerns to us

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures:

• HTTPS/SSL encryption for all data transmission
• Serverless architecture with no persistent storage
• Regular security audits and updates
• Isolated execution environments for each conversion

Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

International Users

Our services are hosted in the United States. If you access our service from outside the US, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the US. By using our service, you consent to this transfer.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
